Three 2008 CUA graduates have completed a cross-country bicycle ride to raise money for the American Lung Association.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, Rachel Bailey, Catie Picou and Letty Williams arrived in Washington, D.C., the end of the "Big Ride Across America," a 3,300 mile trip that began in Seattle on June 23.

To register for the race, the women had to raise $5,500, which will be used to support research for diseases such as lung cancer, emphysema and asthma. They collected the money by hosting happy hours and turning to friends and family for donations.

All three women maintained blogs related to their experience.
