Andrew S. Natsios, the President's Special Envoy for Sudan, will deliver a talk titled "The Future of Sudan," addressing the refugee crisis in Darfur, the May 2006 Darfur Peace Agreement, and U.S. financial sanctions targeting Sudanese entities. Natsios is also Professor of the Practice of Diplomacy, Georgetown University.

The ongoing genocide in the Darfur region of western Sudan is estimated by the United Nations to have killed more than 400,000 people and driven 2 million from their homes. Exacerbated by drought and overpopulation, the ethnic conflict has resulted in a major humanitarian crisis.

The event is free and open to the public. Natsios is expected to take questions.
