Screening of Catholic University Student Films: "Combat, Commemoration & Conversion"

Catholic University's Department of Media Studies will show short documentaries by CUA students at a special screening in Caldwell Hall Auditorium.

As part of the screening, the media studies department will present the Facundo Montenegro Award for Excellence in Social Issue Documentary to senior Lauren Williams, a media studies major from Harleysville, Pa. Williams will be honored for her film "Owed to the Susquehanna." Named for Facundo Montenegro, a highly regarded CUA professor of media production who passed away in 2006 at the age of 38, the award honors excellence in non-fiction work that raises awareness about contemporary social issues.
