Gaily Bailey, director of school library media programs for Montgomery County Public Schools (Md.), will discuss how today's school library media programs have evolved over time from random collections of trade books, textbooks and teacher materials into comprehensive educational programs. She will explain how these programs in a large local public school system address competing priorities, endure economic constraints and survive myriad other issues to become an integral part of the school community.
