Church of the Ascension and Saint Agnes
1217 Massachusetts Ave., N.W.
Washington, D.C.

The Catholic University of America's Town and Gown Community Chorus and conductor Jennifer Seighman present a concert featuring music from Venice's Basilica di San Marco, Moscow's Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed, Leipzig's Thomaskirche, Versailles' Chapelle Royale, and King's College Cambridge.

Selections will include two movements from Monteverdi's "Vespers of 1610," Howell's "Jubilate Deo Collegium Regale," Rachmaninoff's "Bogoroditze Devo," and Jean-Baptiste Lully's rarely-performed grand motet "Exaudiat te Dominus."

The performance will feature vocal solos by Crossley Hawn, junior music major, and Verena Anders, graduate candidate. Combining the talents of CUA faculty, alumni and students, the chamber orchestra will include Andrew Weaver, assistant professor of musicology; Young-Hye Park, alumna; Stephen Czarkowski, alumnus; and senior music major Salvatore Amadeo. The event is free and open to the public.
