Kirsten Behling, director of disability services at Suffolk University in Boston, will talk about developing strategies for teaching a range of learners, including students with disabilities. She will discuss nine principles of universal design that college faculty can use to be responsive to a diversity of students while minimizing the need for changes in the learning environment.
A session from 8:30 a.m. to noon is designed for faculty of the School of Nursing and the National Catholic School of Social Service. A session from 1 to 4:30 p.m. is open to all.
