The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents "Le Nozze di Figaro" (The Marriage of Figaro), with music by Mozart and libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte. The comedic opera will be directed by CUA Voice Instructor Gene Galvin and conducted by Assistant Professor David Searle, director of orchestral activities and conducting studies.

Set in Count Almaviava's castle in Seville, Spain, in the late 18th century, "Le Nozze di Figaro" is a continuation of the story of "The Barber of Seville." In "The Barber of Seville," the count marries Rosine. In "Le Nozze di Figaro," their marriage is failing. Previously a barber, Figaro is now the count's highest staff person. Figaro is engaged to Suzanne, the countess's maid, but the count is also interested in Suzanne.

Tickets to the performance are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and CUA alumni. For more information or tickets, call 202-319-5416.
