Rev. Jared Wicks, S.J., is professor of theology and former academic dean of the faculty of theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He is the author of several books, including Luther's Reform: Studies in Conversion and the Church.

The Quasten Medal - the only academic award given by CUA's School of Theology and Religious Studies - is named after Rev. Johannes Quasten, a religious studies professor who taught at CUA for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1979. Father Quasten published more than 100 books and articles and is best known for his four-volume "Patrology," a standard reference in the field of patrology (a branch of historical theology).
