Alumni Travel Club Off to a Flying Start

Alumni trip to the Tuscany region of Italy
By year’s end, almost 60 CUA alumni from across the United States will have enjoyed unique travel opportunities arranged by Catholic University.

In July, a group of alumni traveled with Marion McDuffie Gosney, B.A. 1975, director of alumni relations, and Sarah Richards Burton, senior assistant director, to the Tuscany region of Italy, stopping in Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Colle di Val d'Elsa and San Gimignano. Gorgeous landscapes, perfect weather, rooms in the beautiful Villa Borgo di Cortefreda, and the fabulous cooking and wine of that area made for a stellar trip.

Frank Persico, B.A. 1974, M.A. 1976, vice president of university relations and chief of staff at CUA, leaves right after Thanksgiving on an Ireland Pub and Shopping Reunion Tour with a sold-out roster of almost four dozen alumni. The group will visit Dublin, Killarney and the Cliffs of Moher, to name a few stops on the tour.

Scheduled for April 4–12, 2008, is a river cruise in the Netherlands and Belgium, a trip that is already gaining interest among alumni. These trips fill up fast, so interested alumni should act quickly to reserve a spot.

For details on trips and other alumni events, call the CUA Office of Alumni Relations at 202-319-5608 (800-288-ALUM outside the Washington, D.C., area) — we’re happy to tell you all that we’re planning for you.
