Roberta Bretthauer Gill, B.S.N. 1963, was honored by Germantown HELP and Montgomery County, Md., officials for running the area’s prescription drug program for needy individuals and for organizing drivers to deliver food to the hungry.

Sister M. Frances Smalkowski, C.S.F.N., B.S.N. 1968, of Monroe, Conn., wrote a book of poetry and reflection called Panning for Gold.

Nora J. Lissy Glennon, B.S.N. 1982, was promoted to director of decision support services at Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital. She functions as a liaison between nursing and finance, working closely with nursing leadership and senior administration.

Kathleen Ann (Fischer) Simkins, B.S.N. 1996, and her husband, Robert, announce the birth of their first child, Emily Katherine, on Oct. 31, 2005. They live in Annapolis, Md.
