Rev. Raymond M. Rafferty, M.A. 1962, pastor of Corpus Christi Church in Manhattan, was awarded a 2005 sabbatical grant for pastoral leaders by the Louisville Institute. His sabbatical project was entitled “Thomas Merton and Corpus Christi Church, the Parish of His Religious Birth.” Father Rafferty studied six weeks at the Merton Center in Louisville, Ky., at the Abbey of Gethsemani in Trappist, Ky., and in Iona, Scotland.

William J. Donovan, M.A. 1975, J.D. 1978, J.C.L. 2001, is the latest addition to Venable LLP. He joins the law firm’s D.C. office as a partner working with both the banking/financial services and legislative/government affairs practices. He has more than 25 years of experience working with congressional lawmakers to advance the interests of financial institutions and their trade associations.
