Living Abroad![]() During my 23 years with the CIA, I was privileged to have served in Europe (Paris) and the Far East (Taiwan). Two of my nine children were born overseas and we lived among the natives rather than in government quarters, thereby absorbing the local charms. Jack Wigglesworth Editor’s Note: See Mr. Wigglesworth’s class note about his 75-year friendship with fellow alum Richard Galiher, and about Galiher’s funeral on Nov. 4, 2008. Simple Gratitude, With Prayer ![]() Westminster Abbey in British Columbia Raised a farm boy in Oregon, I became a priest monk of Mount Angel Abbey in that state and then volunteered to be part of the new foundation of Westminster Abbey in Canada in 1948. In the fall of 1966 I was sent to CUA to pursue an M.A. in English, finishing in January 1968. While a student, I stayed at St. Anselm’s Abbey in Washington, D.C. After 43 years my memories of CUA are still fresh and full of gratitude. I am a simple monk/librarian. I have simple gratitude to recompense you, with prayer. Rev. Boniface Aicher, O.S.B.
