Bringing Cardinal Pride to Dining

When students return to campus this fall, one of the changes they will notice right away is their dining experience. The third-floor student restaurant in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center will have undergone a Cardinal-themed facelift.

Ralph Scherini, associate vice president for business services, is overseeing the collection of CUA memorabilia that will be installed in the restaurant. Objects ranging from photos to softball caps to old textbooks have been collected so far.

One of the attractive features of the new decor is that it will evolve as additional objects are donated, he says. New items can be added to reflect the current spirit and character of the student body. For example, if one athletic team has a particularly good year, more photos or equipment of that sport may be added to reflect the team’s success.

Alumni are invited to donate memorabilia for the restaurant. They may contact Scherini at scherini@cua.edu or 202-319-5046. CUA will pay for associated shipping costs for approved items.
