    Community Forklift

    Extremely Low Impact: Forklift Sinks More Carbon Than It Spews

    In 2011, Guy researched what materials Forklift, an innovative building materials reuse center, has kept out of landfills and measured their overall carbon impact. A preliminary study, “Lifecycle Greenhouse Gas Assessment of Building Materials Reuse Services” was generated and it validated Forklift's claim of being a carbon sink.

    Pre-Civil War church to be demolished, then ‘remade’

    With renovations unfeasible, former Hopewell United Methodist Church in Jefferson County, PA, will still leave its mark. Lead by Guy, Catholic University of America students participated in an eight-week course where they dismantled the abandoned church and designed and constructed a commemorative structure.
