Basketball Team Plays in NCAA Tournament March 9


The Catholic University men's basketball team, ranked 14th in the nation among Division III teams, faces a crucial test Friday in Worcester, Mass., when it plays Brockport State in a National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament sectional semifinal match.

The game begins at 5:30 p.m. and can be heard by accessing D3hoops.com.

Catholic University is the only team in the nation to have advanced to the NCAA Division III round of 16 teams (known as the "Sweet 16") for the last four consecutive years.

The winner of Friday's game will play the winner of the other sectional semifinal on Saturday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m., in Worcester to determine who will advance to the final four.
