Catholic University will host the “Spirituality and the Parish: Receiving Life from the Local Church” conference this Saturday, June 1, in the Columbus School of Law building, located off McCormack Road, N.E. by the Brookland/CUA Metro stop. Events will be held in Room 305.
Faculty from the CUA School of Religious Studies will address various topics concerning the ways the parish can nourish the spiritual life of Christians in its prayer, preaching, religious education, community life and action on behalf of justice. Two plenary sessions and eight workshops are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day will conclude with a Vigil Mass at 5:15 p.m. The CUA Office of Summer Sessions is sponsoring the conference.
