The Catholic University of America’s Campus Ministry will hold a candlelight vigil for the victims of the terrorist attacks on the United States and their families at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, on the University Mall.
CUA Columbus School of Law Lecturer Karen A. Kincaid, a passenger on the 757 that crashed into the Pentagon, will be remembered along with other relatives and friends of the CUA community who perished or were injured. Students will read names of missing and deceased friends and family.
Undergraduate Student Government President Steve Schatz and Graduate Student Association President Brian Fox will deliver remarks. The CUA choir and instrumentalists from the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music will perform during the 45-minute vigil.
Students, faculty and staff can leave notes with prayers and intentions on several “Walls of Hope” set up around campus, which will be joined and displayed for the vigil. The Walls of Hope can be found at the University Center, the lawn west of McMahon Hall, North Dining Hall and the Columbus School of Law
