WHAT:                       Convention: Contemplating Christ through the Eyes of Mary

DETAILS:                  The event will include presentations offering reflections on Mary’s role in the Catholic Church as well as workshops focusing on the topics “Mary in the Holy Family: Her History in Art,” “Mary and Contemporary Culture,” “The Luminous Mysteries as Liturgical Mysteries” and “She Who is Full of Grace.”

 

                                    The convention concludes with a 4:30 p.m. Mass celebrated by Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

 

                                    The event is open to the public. Registration and check-in from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Cost if registered by Sept. 5 is $15, otherwise it is $20 at the door. For more information, write to ff.wa@verizon.net or call 703-242-2067.
