Inclement Weather

Each year the subject of inclement weather at graduation is discussed. There is a plan in place, which will include all the major Commencement participants. However, it has been decided that every attempt will be made to hold the general commencement outdoors regardless of the weather. In the case of light rain, the ceremony will be shortened appropriately. If the weather precludes the outdoor ceremony, the Provost will make an announcement at 8:00 a.m. and all graduates and their guests will move directly to their indoor locations for the diploma ceremonies in accordance with the following schedule. The President, Chancellor and Provost will move to individual ceremonies for the conferral of degrees. The Commencement Address will become part of the Arts and Sciences Undergraduate ceremony in the Upper Church of the Shrine.
