DETAILS: As part of CUA’s 36th Annual Pope John XXIII Lecture, the Columbus School of Law presents “Just War and the War on Terror,” by Ruth Wedgewood, Edward B. Burling Professor of International Law and Diplomacy and the Director of the International Law and Organization Program at Johns Hopkins University.
The author of numerous articles about American policy in the Balkans and the
operational problems of peacekeeping, Wedgewood serves on the U.S. Secretary of State’s advisory committee for international law and is an American member of the United Nations’ Human Rights Committee. She also is the former co-director of studies at The Hague Academy for International Law.
A reception will follow the lecture, which is free and open to the public.
