WHAT:             CUA to Host Conference on Catholic Education


WHEN:             2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14

                        Washington, D.C.


DETAILS:         Catholic University will host a conference titled “Catholic Education,” which will explore the challenges facing Catholic elementary and secondary schools. Archbishop J. Michael Miller, secretary for the Congregation of Catholic Education at the Vatican, will give the keynote presentation: “The Holy See’s Teachings on Catholic Education.”


                        Times and details of the conference are as follows:

·         2 p.m., Keynote presentation

·         3 p.m., Break

·         3:30 p.m., Panel discussion

Panelists: David Brennan, White Hat Management Co., Akron, Ohio

                Francis Maier, chancellor, Archdiocese of Denver

John J. Convey, CUA provost and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Professor of Education

·         5:15 p.m., Mass, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Crypt Church. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick will be the celebrant.
