Family Weekend Begins Oct. 28

More than 300 family members of CUA students are expected to gather on campus this Friday through Sunday for Catholic University’s annual Family Weekend. Featured events will include a "Haunted" Open House, “Dancing Through the Decades” lessons sponsored by the organization CUA Ballroom and a 5K run in support of the Competitive Edge Campaign for Cardinal Athletics. In addition, a Saturday evening Mass and class ring blessing will be held in the Upper Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, honoring CUA juniors and seniors. Various tours of Washington, D.C., will also be offered. The weekend is sponsored by the Office of University Center, Student Programs and Events.

“There will be something for all ages, and the best of the campus and Washington, D.C., will be on display,” says Bill Jonas, UCSPE director.

Check-in takes place from noon to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, in the lobby of the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center. Participants may also check in on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Pryzbyla Center Lobby. Walk-in registration is welcome. Due to space limitations, registration for those events requiring tickets is now closed. A master list of events can be found at http://universitycenter.cua.edu/events/weekend.cfm.
