For St. Patrick's Day, March 1710 March 1998
Timothy J. Meagher, director of the Center for Irish Studies at The Catholic University of America, is available to speak on a range of subjects related to St. Patrick's Day. They are:
- The uniqueness of St. Patrick's Day as an Irish-American celebration.
- The current popularity of things Irish in America.
- Irish-American politicians.
Meagher recently received a prize for his work as an editor on a book on Irish history, The New York Irish. The prize is given annually by the American Conference of Irish Studies for the best book on Irish or Irish American History.
