Friday, May 16 
2 p.m., the Honors Convocation Program, Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center. Awardees should arrive no later than 1:45 p.m.

4 p.m., Baccalaureate Mass, Upper Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Student procession will form at 3:30 p.m. and move forward at 3:40 p.m.

Saturday, May 17
10 a.m., 119th annual commencement ceremony, east steps of the National Shrine. Knights of Columbus leader Carl A. Anderson and his wife, Dorian, will jointly address graduates and will each receive the university’s highest academic honor, the Doctor of Theology degree, honoris causa.

Tuesday, May 20
6 to 9 p.m., the Department of Biology presents a poster show and exhibit with the Chesapeake Society for Microscopy. McMahon Hall. All are welcome, and a snack buffet will be offered. 2 p.m., Columbus School of Law commencement, Great Upper Church of the National Shrine. This year’s law school commencement speaker will be U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. He will receive the degree, Doctor of Laws, honoris causa

Mass of the Holy Spirit. University Mass and Picnic. No classes from 12:10 to 3 p.m.

Labor Day. Holiday.

Wednesday, Sept. 10
5 p.m., Freshman Convocation. Freshmen are excused from 5:10 p.m. classes and labs to attend Convocation. National Shrine, Upper Church.

Monday, Oct. 13
Columbus Day. Holiday.

Tuesday, Oct. 14
Administrative Monday. Monday classes meet instead of Tuesday classes on this day only.

November

Wednesday, Nov. 26, and Thursday, Nov. 27
Thanksgiving Recess. University Closed.

Last day of classes.
