The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents Italian composer Gian Carlo Menotti's "The Old Maid and the Thief," the first opera ever written for radio. Menotti - best known for his Christmas classic "Amahl and the Night Visitors" - composed "The Old Maid and the Thief" for NBC radio in 1939.

The CUA production is directed by John Mark Feilmeyer, a senior vocal performance major. Shawn Burke-Storer, a graduate student in CUA's orchestral conducting program, will conduct. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Contact the music school at 202-319-5414 for additional details.
