Moonlit madness, revenge and passionate love are the setting for this ripped-from-the-headlines story told by one of Shakespeare's greatest contemporaries, John Webster. The play is regarded as a masterpiece of the 17th-century English stage.

"The Duchess of Malfi" is directed by Ryan Whinnem, Master of Fine Arts candidate in the directing program in Catholic University's drama department. Before coming to CUA, he founded the Mobtown Players in Baltimore and was artistic director of that company for eight of its 10 seasons. Past directorial credits include "Romeo and Juliet" (Hopkins Classic Players, Baltimore), "The Plough and the Stars" (Changeling Theater, Boston), and "Comedy of Errors" and "Measure for Measure" (Mobtown Players).

Tickets: $12 full price; $8 for senior citizens and CUA faculty, staff and alumni; and $5 for all students with a valid ID.
