The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents “Die Fledermaus,” an operetta by Johann Strauss II.

The three-act operetta is set in 19th-century Vienna. Eisenstein is due to begin an eight-day jail sentence for committing a petty crime but decides to delay his sentence one day in order to attend a fancy ball. The ball is being thrown by a prince and his friend Philip who are seeking revenge on another friend. As the ball begins, so does comic confusion.

The performances will be directed by Brian Cali, B.M. 2005, and conducted by David Searle, assistant professor and director of orchestral activities and conducting studies.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, faculty, senior citizens and alumni. For tickets or more information, call 202-319-5414.
