WHAT: CUA’s Rome Trio to Present D.C. Preview of Carnegie Hall Concert

DETAILS: Catholic University’s Rome Trio will perform a preview concert on campus of works to be performed in November at Carnegie Hall in New York City for the La Gesse Foundation Festival.

The trio includes music professors Jody Gatwood on the violin, Michael Mermagen on the cello and Ivo Kaltchev on the piano.

They will open with “Prólogo y Canto” by Joseph Santo, assistant dean for academics and graduate studies, and adjunct assistant professor of theory in the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music.

They will also present selections by Shostakovich and Dvo?ák. The concert is free and open to the public.
