March Madness Begins Tonight at CUA

March Madness has arrived at Catholic University and the local media is taking notice. A March 1 CBS DC article highlighted the successes of the men’s and women’s basketball teams and previewed a busy NCAA Tournament weekend at CUA.

Tonight at 7:30 p.m., the women’s team will host Cabrini at the Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. If they win, they would again take to their home court at 5 p.m. on Saturday to face off against the victor of the FDU-Florham and Widener game. That game will be played tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the DuFour Center.

On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., the men’s team will tip off against Staten Island in the DuFour Center in a first-round NCAA Tournament game.

CUA is one of 15 Division III schools with its men’s and women’s teams in this year’s NCAA Tournament

The Catholic University men’s and women’s basketball teams won Landmark Conference championships on Feb. 23. It was the second consecutive title for the women’s team and the first for the men’s team.
