Susan Ludeman, B.A. 1974, M.S. 1977, Ph.D. 1979 (A&S), began a tenure-track position as associate professor of chemistry at the Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, N.Y., on July 1. She was an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center from 1996 to 2008.

David R. Kennedy, M.A. 1977 (THEO), was elected to the Stratford, Conn., Board of Education and was the highest vote-getter in a townwide election of six candidates. He is chair of the board’s curriculum committee and continues to work as president and CEO of the United Way of Norwalk and Wilton.

Sheila Cabrero Heaviside, B.A. 1978 (A&S), was promoted to associate director of survey research for Mathematica Policy Research Inc. in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. She was formerly survey director for evaluation of mathematics curricula.
